New Zealand’s only free ambulance service
Wellington Free Ambulance was established in 1927 and founded upon the principle that emergencies need not costs lives or money. Today, they are the only gratuitous emergency paramedic service in the country, operating 24/7 and servicing the Wairarapa and the greater Wellington region.
Tommy’s is a long-term partner of Wellington Free Ambulance, with a percentage of each commission going directly to New Zealand’s only free ambulance service provider.

Onesieful for Onesie Day appeal
We helped Wellington buy its first-ever Onesie Ambulance!
Tommy’s has been a long-term supporter of the annual Onesie Day appeal and last year, with the move to an online campaign, Tommy’s staff got behind the appeal raising over $10,000.
Tommy’s also raised an additional $20,000 to close off Onesie Day to ensure funding met target to buy Wellington its first Onesie ambulance for Wellington.
