When the recent COVID19 restrictions hit, Wellington Free Ambulance had to move this year’s annual Onesie Day appeal to a completely digital format. They still had the ambitious goal of fundraising $250,000 for their first ever Onesie Day emergency ambulance.
It’s because of you they have managed to reach, and surpass this goal, raising $272,773 for a brand new Onesie Day ambulance. This is an amazing achievement, a special ambulance, fundraised by the community, for the community – this is especially significant in a time that was challenging for us all.
Tommy’s is a long term partner of Wellington Free Ambulance, with a percentage of each commission going directly to New Zealand’s only free ambulance service provider. In addition to our usual support, Tommy’s Real Estate closed off the campaign with an additional $20,000! You did the rest! Some schools and businesses are holding their Onesie Day fundraising this week and all extra donations will support the ongoing demands of the Onesie Day ambulance.
If you wore a Onesie, fundraised online, planned a fundraiser for your school, workplace or community group, shared Onesie Day messaging through social media or simply donated, we want to say a big THANK YOU, because of you a brand new ambulance will be hitting our roads in the new year!
