Tommy’s Real Estate is a proud supporter of Given For You. A charity aimed at raising money for Wellington families who are living below the poverty line and are severely under-resourced in terms of obtaining the basic means for survival.
Given For You provides a variety of goods to these families. Their packages include swimming kits for Wellington schools, these ensure every child is well equipped for swimming lessons. Additionally, they also provide personal care kits and family care packs, these are personally tailored for each family in need. These kits contain new towels and facecloths for everyone in the family that receives them.
In 2018, Given For You in conjunction with Tommy’s Real Estate organised #FashionWithCompassion. A pop up shop on Willis Street with clothing from some renowned fashion houses, this consisted of apparel designed by notable brands. All goods were donated and sold at a reduced price to raise money for Given For You. The store was open for four days and managed to raise $20,000. All of these proceeds helped to fund the Given For You initiatives mentioned above: Family CARE Packs, Birthday Bags and Swim Kits!
